Combined RD/RDN & Master of Science Courses
The RDN/MS program is a full-time 2 year (24 month) program. We accept one cohort per year, beginning in the fall of each year. Students take required graduate courses in the sequence laid out below. Along with the coursework, approximately 1,300 hours of supervised practicum, also known as supervised experiential learning (SEL), are incorporated throughout the 2 year curriculum. This includes Summer 1, between the first and second academic year, and Summer 2 at the end of the second academic year.
Some of the supervised experiential learning occurs within the graduate courses, while approximately 1,000 of these hours occur in professional settings, including hospitals, outpatient clinics, long-term care facilities, community and public health agencies and organizations, and hospital and school food service facilities. During these professional setting experiences, you are closely supervised and mentored by RDNs and other experts in their relevant fields.
For specific start and end dates for the academic year fall and spring semesters see the UW-Green Bay Academic Calendars.
