MS Management Admission Requirements

1 Prerequisites

Admission requirements for the master of science in management program follow the university-wide policy for admission to graduate programs. These requirements include:
  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • A 3.0 grade point average on a 4.0 scale. Applicants with a GPA of less than 3.0 may be considered for provisional admission.
If your cumulative undergraduate GPA is below the 3.0 minimum, we will then look at the GPA of your final two years of undergraduate study. We’ll examine the file in its entirety; strong references and/or work experience, for example, may offset a low GPA.

2 To apply, submit the following:

  1. A completed application form and the current fee. Application Form
  1. A 200-300-word statement. Describe your principal areas of academic interest, capabilities, experience and reasons for pursuing the MS degree.
  1. Resume. Your resume can be uploaded as part of your application or emailed to gradstu@uwgb.edu.
  1. Official undergraduate and graduate transcripts from all post-secondary institutions of higher learning from which 9 or more credits have been attempted are required. NOTE: If you attended UW-Green Bay, you don’t have to send UW-Green Bay transcripts.
    • Electronic transcripts can be sent to: uwgb@uwgb.edu
    •  Hard copy transcripts can be mailed to UW-Green Bay, Office of Graduate Studies, 2420 Nicolet Drive, Green Bay, WI 54311.

*Letters of evaluation can come from former professors, but ultimately should come from someone who can attest to your academic potential. This may be a current supervisor, past supervisor or co-worker.

    * All letters of evaluation/ recommendation must come directly from the evaluator. The Office of Graduate Studies will not accept letters submitted by the applicant.

Maximize Your Degree

“I had my bachelor’s, but felt like there was still more to learn and I really loved the university. The Master of Science in Management program was a perfect fit. It was an easy way to transition into a graduate business program that made the most of the degree I had."
