STEM Living Learning Community

The STEM Living Learning Community brings together freshmen who are interested in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics major. Students in the STEM LLC live in Byron Walter Hall and take HUM BIOL 198 First Year Seminar. Through shared experiences in the classroom and in the hall, students in the STEM LLC will build friendships with other students with similar interests. Students will participate in programs and events specifically designed for their interests that involve faculty and staff outside the classroom.
What is HUM BIOL 198?
What They Didn’t Teach You in Health Class: Personal health and wellness play a major but often overlooked role in the success of college students. This course is designed to help students better understand the biology of sleep, exercise, nutrition, and social connections as they pertain to mental health, learning, and memory.
