Annual Giving

Annual Giving is the best way for alumni and friends to show their support for the University. Gifts to the Fund for Excellence and the UW-Green Bay Scholarship Fund provide the greatest flexibility for the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay Foundation to meet the University's most pressing needs.

Unrestricted and annual gifts are critical to the financial viability of the University. More than 1,200 donors made gifts to UW-Green Bay Foundation in 2021. Of these, more than 350 donors gave less than $1,000 to the unrestricted Fund for Excellence, the UW-Green Bay Scholarship Fund, and Athletics’ Phoenix Fund. These gifts added up to more than $24,766 —equivalent to the payout from a $545,000 endowed fund. Unlike the endowment, however, these gifts can be allocated to areas of greatest need.

There are many ways to give, all of which help support students and our mission. Your gifts are an investment in the future leaders of our community, our nation, and our world.

Gifts to the Fund for Excellence, UW-Green Bay Scholarship Fund, or Athletics' Phoenix Fund provide flexible resources that can be directed to UW-Green Bay’s greatest needs, including scholarship support.

Fund for Excellence

Contributions to the Fund for Excellence are considered unrestricted gifts that help support the entire campus. This vital support has included Covid-19 response, need-based scholarships, University Theatre renovations, women's softball facility construction, research projects, and learning opportunities for students. The Fund for Excellence affects every undergraduate on campus, year after year.

UW-Green Bay Scholarship Fund

The UW-Green Bay Scholarship Fund awards over $20,000 annually in scholarships to students of any major. We are always working to increase this important fund to have a greater impact on our students. Giving to the UW-Green Bay Scholarship fund provides an immediate impact for students in the next academic year.

Phoenix Athletics

Members of the Phoenix Fund help inspire our student-athletes to strive for excellence and prepare them for success beyond graduation. They invest in the development of young leaders who learn valuable life lessons while representing Green Bay. The Phoenix Fund generates dollars for scholarships, travel, academic programming, and countless other necessities. It lays the foundation for a championship Division I athletics program.

Weidner Center for Performing Arts

Annual support and event attendance at the Weidner Center for the Performing Arts helps us showcase the performing arts at this beautiful venue and present a wide variety of cultural, entertainment, and educational programming to the region, while also serving as a home for local and University of Wisconsin-Green Bay performing arts ensembles.

Theatre First Nighters

Theatre First Nighters directly benefits the study, creation, and analysis of live theatrical performance by our students. Support of Theatre events strengthens UW-Green Bay’s rigorous artistic and academic programming, including facilities, scholarships, and opportunities to work with guest artists.

Senior Gift

It's a TRADITION to make a gift to the Senior Gift Project in the last semester of your senior year. Each class votes for an awesome project in the amount of the their graduating year (2021 = $20.21). The graduating classes of 2019, 2020 and 2021, are making Senior Gift donations to support UW-Green Bay branded sail shades hung over three seating areas on the student plaza outside of the Union.

Phuture Phoenix

Since its inception, nearly $450,000 has been awarded to students who have participated in Phuture Phoenix programming. The return on your investment is immeasurable. Countless Phuture Phoenix campus visitors have chosen a higher education pathway for their future, including hundreds who have chosen to attend UW-Green Bay, in part, because of the connection created during their visit.

630 Concert Series

Support for musical entertainment at UW-Green Bay allows the university to offer engaging performances that push the boundaries of music, bridge cultural gaps, and provide unequivocal student experiences. Our concert series shines the light on our expert faculty and brings unique entertainment to our community while providing students the opportunity learn from guest artists.

Lawton Gallery

The 1700 square foot gallery located on campus hosts a variety of exhibitions and events featuring visiting artists, faculty and student work. Over its 20 years of operation it has hosted more than 135 exhibitions including the Annual Student Juried Exhibition, Biennial Midwest Photography Invitational, and more. Through the year, the Lawton provides student opportunities such as internships, installation experience, and theoretical issues pertinent to the broader museum field.
