NWTC Articulation Agreement (2+2 agreement)

Earn a four-year degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) through a 2+2 articulation agreement between NWTC and UW-Green Bay!

This agreement allows students to complete their Associate Degree (AS) in Early Childhood Education at NWTC and then complete their Bachelor’s Degree at UW-Green Bay. The program is designed for 2 years of coursework at NWTC followed by 2 years of coursework at UW-Green Bay, hence “2+2”.

A minimum of 60 credits from an Associate Degree program can be applied toward a 4-year degree. Graduates are well positioned to embark on new careers or advancement in the workplace.

What Can I Do After Completing this Program?

With an Associate Degree (AS) in Early Childhood Education, the Professional Program in Education at UW-Green Bay offers two pathways to a Bachelor’s degree. Students may choose to work toward a Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) teaching license or choose to focus on a degree for working early childhood professionals.

Choosing a Pathway

Teacher Licensure

Students pursuing a career in the public school system will choose the licensure pathway. The program provides prospective teachers with an opportunity to work in a variety of educational settings, including work with various ethnic, cultural and economic groups, and children with exceptional educational needs.

Students pursuing a career for Early Childhood Professionals outside the PK-12 school system will choose the non-licensure pathway. This program focuses on leadership skills such as critical and creative thinking, problem solving, and communication while expanding student credentials. The online offerings meet the needs of students who have work, family, and other responsibilities.
