The Human Biology Program offers an interdisciplinary undergraduate major and minor.  Our goal is to provide students with a curriculum that facilitates an understanding of the human organism from biological, medical, behavioral and nutritional perspectives.  Learn more about the Human Biology program.

The Department of Natural & Applied Sciences houses an interdisciplinary major & minor program of study in Environmental Science; disciplinary majors & minors in Biology, Chemistry, Geoscience, Water Science; a disciplinary minor in Physics.

The Resch School of Engineering offers majors in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Environmental Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Mathematics and Computer Science.
 

The Biology major prepares students for careers in cell & molecular biology, biochemistry, plant & animal biology, genetics, physiology, ecology & field biology.

Chemists have made significant contributions to the improvement of the quality of our lives. They have played a vital role in the advancement of so many fields.

Computer Science is the study of the theory, experimentation, and engineering that form the design and use of computers.
 

Our Electrical Engineering degree is the only major of its kind in this region. From tiny microchips to huge generators, electrical innovation powers nearly every aspect of our lives.

Engineering Technology includes a trio of high-demand, high quality degrees; Electrical, Mechanical & Environmental Engineering Technology.
 

The Environmental Science major prepares students to analyze, understand, and solve environmental problems and includes field experiences, internships and practicums.

Geoscience is the study of the physical components of the environment, the various processes affected by those components, and the interactions between the physical environment & living organisms.

Human Biology majors choose an emphasis within the major that best facilitates their goals; health science, exercise science, nutritional science/dietetics, cytotechnology or general human biology.

Mathematics has programs of study in two emphasis areas: math and statistics. A student who elects a major in Mathematics must choose an area of emphasis from one of these two programs of study.

Mechanical Engineering is the discipline that applies engineering, physics, and mathematics to design, analyze, manufacture, and maintain mechanical systems.

Physics is the study of matter and energy, and their interactions in the areas of mechanics, heat, sound, optics, electricity, magnetism, radiation, and the atomic and sub-atomic world.

Water Science is the study of water and its interaction with solids, liquids, gases, and organisms in various Earth systems.

The Master of Athletic Training program is appropriate for students with an existing bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g. Human Biology, Kinesiology, Exercise Science) who would like to pursue the profession of athletic training.  The MAT program is designed to satisfy all of the requirements specified by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE), as well as the graduation requirements for UW-Green Bay.  UW-Green Bay will seek accreditation of the MAT program through CAATE, which will allow graduates of the program to sit for the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board of Certification Exam.



 

The Environmental Science and Policy program is appropriate for students with interests in the scientific and/or public policy aspects of contemporary environmental challenges. It provides a course of study that prepares its graduates for positions in scientific, technical and administrative organizations and agencies. The programs core focuses on identification and analysis of environmental issues and on developing interdisciplinary approaches and solutions to problems. The program offers four areas of emphasis with both thesis and non-thesis options: Ecosystems Studies, Environmental Technology and Analysis, Environmental Policy and Administration, a Personal Program of Study and students choose to specialize in one area depending on future career interests.
 

The Master of Science in Sustainable Management is appropriate for students with an existing bachelor’s degree in a range of disciplines and the desire to continue their education in this developing field. The interdisciplinary nature of this degree encourages students to examine sustainability from different perspectives and the curriculum ensures that students gain a comprehensive understanding of the ways in which changing human activities affect our natural, social and economic environments. Designed for working adults with real-world experience, the online Master of Science in Sustainable Management will strengthen and expand your knowledge of sustainability and environmental issues, preparing you for high-level leadership positions at your current organization or at top companies around the world.

The Cofrin Center for Biodiversity enhances educational programs at UWGB by providing hands-on resources for undergraduate and graduate courses, by establishing student internship opportunities, and by attracting visiting scientists and speakers. Research is promoted by a student grants and by quality research facilities and staff support.

The establishment of the EMBI is a step in the evolution of UW-Green Bay’s historic mission of studying environmental issues and developing solutions to problems; solutions that recognize the critical interconnections between science, policy and business, and the social contexts within which they occur.
